Ramallah, May, 5, 2025:The head of the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC), Mu’ayyad Shaa’ban, declared that the Israeli occupying state has carried out 1693 attacks during April 2025.Mr. Sha’ban pointed out in the monthly report of the Commission, “Violations of the Israeli Occupation State & Colonizers in the Occupied Palestinian Territories”, that the Israeli occupation forces carried out 1352 attacks, while the colonizers carried out 341 attacks. These violations were concentrated in Hebron Governorate, which witnessed 292 attacks, followed by Ramallah Governorate, which was subjected to 269 attacks, and Nablus Governorate where 254 attacks were recorded. He noted that the attacks included armed attacks on Palestinian villages, imposing facts on the ground, field executions, vandalism, land bulldozing, uprooting trees, seizure of property, and the establishment of closures and barriers that restrict the connections within Palestinian territories.
The Cruel Wave of Colonial Terrorism Continues.
Mr. Shaa’ban added that the colonizers' attacks were primarily focused in Ramallah governorate which witnessed 65 attacks, followed by Hebron governorate which experienced 59 attacks. Meanwhile, 40 attacks were recorded in Nablus and 30 attacks in Jerusalem.
Additionally, he noted that the colonizers committed 231 acts of vandalism and theft against Palestinian property, affecting vast areas of land. These attacks also led to the uprooting of 1168 olive trees. The uprooted trees included 530 in Ramallah, 300 in Nablus, and 298 in Jerusalem
Attempt to Establish 10 New Colonial Outposts:
Since the beginning of last April, the colonizers have attempted to establish 10 new colonial outposts, most of which were agricultural. These outposts were planned to be located in various areas, including 3 in Ramallah Governorate, as well as 2 in Salfit governorate and one in each of Jericho, Hebron, tubas and Nablus. Mr. Shaa’ban emphasized that the escalation of attempts to establish these outposts is part of a broader strategy to segregate the Palestinian geography and impose control over the land. The colonizers aim to implement changes on the ground, which are then legitimized by official entities that transform these changes into reality through legislation, establishment, and provision of services to create recognized colonial sites.
The Israeli Occupation Authorities Seized 54 Dunums of Palestinian lands
Mr. Shaa’ban also stated that the Israeli occupation authorities seized 54 dunums of citizens' lands last April through 4 seizure orders for military purposes. These orders aimed at establishing a buffer zone around the so-called “Efrat” colony on lands of Bethlehem Governorate, covering an area of 45 dunams. Additionally, another buffer zone was designated around the so-called “Nikodim” colony, covering an area of 3 dunams. The final order targeted lands in the village of Silwad in Ramallah Governorate, with the objective of paving a colonial road that would connect “Tel al-Asur” site to the main street that links the towns of Silwad and Deir Jarir.
Demolition of 152 Facilities and Orders to Demolish 46 More
Mr. Sha’ban also noted that during April, the Israeli occupation authorities carried out 73 demolition operations, affecting 152 facilities. These included 96 inhabited facilities, 10 uninhabited facilities, 34 agricultural facilities, and others. These demolitions were concentrated in Tubas governorate where 59 facilities were demolished. Meanwhile, 39 facilities were demolished in Hebron governorate, and 17 facilities were demolished in Jerusalem.
Mr. Sha’ban further stated that the Israeli occupation authorities issued 46 demolition notifications against Palestinian facilities as part of an ongoing campaign to restrict Palestinian construction and natural urban growth. These notifications have increased significantly in recent days, with the highest concentration in Hebron governorate which received 16 notifications. Meanwhile, Ramallah governorate received 14 notifications and the rest (12 notifications) were issued for Jerusalem governorate.
Mr. Sha’ban stated that the Israeli occupation state is now adopting a dangerous approach toward Palestinian construction, first, through the unprecedented intensification of demolition operations with the threat of escalating them across all areas, second by forcing citizens to pay for the costs of demolitions as has happened recently in Masafir Yatta. He added that this procedure aims to enforce more oppression against Palestinian citizens.
27 New Colonial Master Plans, Including the Construction of Two New Colonial Neighborhoods
Mr. Sha’ban stated that in April, the planning authorities of the occupation state reviewed 21 master plans in favor of colonies in the West Bank, and 6 in Jerusalem (within municipal boundaries). Of these, 10 master plans were approved, while 17 others were deposited. The April plans targeted a total of 3,030 dunums of citizens’ land.
He added that the maps attached to the submitted master plans indicate the occupation state's intention to expand the “Nokdim” colony, which is established on the lands of the villages of Arab At-Ta’amrah southeast of Herod’s Palace in Bethlehem Governorate, through the approval of a master plan that aims to construct a new neighborhood for the colony, with the intention of constructing 290 new colonial units on an area of 239 dunums, under master plan number יוש/ 12/ 411.
Mr. Sha’ban explained that, in close proximity to the master plan targeting lands for the establishment of a colonial neighborhood linked to the Nokdim colony, a review of the maps attached to the master plan for the Ma’ale Amos colony reveals the occupation state's intention to construct a new colonial neighborhood affiliated with Ma’ale Amos. This plan, filed under No. יוש/ 8/ 1/ 413, proposes the construction of 148 new colonial units on approximately 42 dunums of land belonging to the village of Kisan, south of Bethlehem Governorate.
Mr. Sha’ban stated that the new policy adopted by the occupation state is establishing colonial neighborhoods geographically distant from their parent colonies, with the aim of seizing as much land as possible in preparation for declaring these neighborhoods as separate colonies, as seen in the occupation government's recent announcement recognizing 13 such colonial neighborhoods as independent colonies.
